Here is some information that answers commonly asked questions.
Office Hours
I'm afraid I'm not currently accepting new clients.
Fees
My standard fees are:
$125 for a 50-minute session (usually for individuals)
$175 for a 75-minute session (usually for couples)
I have a few sliding-scale slots in my practice. You're welcome to ask for the fee you're able to pay, and if a slot is open in that range, you'll be in-like-Flynn!

Payments
I accept cash, checks and credit cards through Paypal (a fee of $5 per session applies for Paypal payments). Payment is due at or before the session unless otherwise arranged.

Insurance
I'm a provider on Blue Cross Premera and its associated plans. If you have another insurance plan, I can provide you with a "superbill" that you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement. The superbill contains all the information and industry codes your insurance company requires for processing.

Attendance
It's the nature of therapy that participation yields results, so I have a minimum attendance requirement of twice per month.

Length of Therapy
Unlike some therapists, I am willing to work on a short-term basis. Many of the postmodern approaches I use can be effective very quickly. There are never any guarantees in this field, but depending on your issue, it's possible you may experience a shift within a few sessions and be done. I'm OK with that.
Couples
Couples work is very different from individual work. With a couple, your dynamic is my client. This means I'm not too concerned with who's right and who's wrong — in fact, there's no place for objective reality in intimate relationships. I'm concerned with keeping what works and shifting what doesn't, and I will step on toes sometimes to get there. It's good to know this up front.
Also, I have a no-secrets policy, which means I won't keep information from one person a secret from the other for long. I'm willing to work with you individually to prepare to share your secret, but only if your partner consents to the individual work.
